Florence Barnham

Florence is from a wealthy family, but established her own fashion company when she was 17. Barnham Couture, starting out as a small shop in 1914 then developing internationally.

Spencer Campbell

Spencer was 24 when he married Hannah, it was an arranged marriage. During the War, he worked towards creating medicines for soldiers suffering from scurvy. 

Hannah Campbell

A strong, beautiful women. She is Florence’s older sister and is married to Spencer. Spencer and Hannah have spent the last 7 years together as he did not go to War.

Arthur Farwell

Arthur went into the War as a senior officer in 1914 aged 29. He returned from War in 1915 due to war injuries. He then took over his father’s medical research business following his death.

Vanessa Simon's

Vanessa worked as a nurse during the War. She left her job working as a nurse in 1915, no one ever knew why. She is still living at home with her family who are all middle classed. 

John Smith

John joined the war when he was 16. He is now Spencer and Hannah’s butler. He started working for them in 1918. He is very nervous and shy and suffers from combat fatigue.
